A little dose of love

To me, testing perfumes, is like wine tasting – a crucial part of life! I could honestly spend hours in Red Square and not get bored. Every fragrance evokes a different feeling and the right perfume could make you feel so sexy you’d want to walk around naked!

My obsession with perfume (or… Gollum syndrome…..)

stems from the feelings that sprouted within me when I was gifted with my first ever proper fragrance. It made me feel so special and I never feel more feminine than when I mist myself with the fragrance of my choice.

I recently received a Diesel Loverdose sample from the lovelies at Rubybox. After going bananas over my Yves Rocher perfume, I had a whiff of the Loverdose and it was truly love at first smell.

According to Fragrantica (where I do my fragrance research), Loverdose possesses molecules that stimulate the hypothalamus (the part of the brain that’s responsible for attraction and lust).

It is a soft spicy fragrance that envelops you. Something about it smells so familiar, but I cannot put my finger on it. If you know what it is, please let me know because it’s driving me crazy!

It has top notes of – Mandarin and Star Anise

Middle notes of – Licorice, Jasmine and Gardenia

Base notes of – Amber and Vanilla and other woodsy notes

And if you like Loverdose (according to Fragrantica) you’ll also like the following:

Britney Spears – Fantasy, Thiery Muggler, Lancome Hypnose and other sweet spicy fragrances.

Loverdose has totally made my “Fragrances to get” list and has even surpassed a few fragrances like Taylor, CK1 and Armani Code …. However…. They WILL ALL BE MINE! MOEHAHAHHAAAAAA

Now I want to know: Why don’t we have fragrance sampling bars? Note to self: MAKE IT HAPPEN!
