I was invited to attend the official launch of MUD Cape Town the other day and seeing as I’ve been keen to try their products for quite some time now, I politely accepted their invitation.
“MUD creates honest make-up products. Whether you dare to be different, prefer polished & professional or simply want an all-natural look, MUD promises quality, long-lasting, flawless application and radiantly accurate color.” – Extract from Beauty Worx’ website (online store).
I have a principal – if it’s tested on animals I don’t use it. You’d think it would be difficult to find products like these, but a little bit of research will do you good. Not only does MUD promise cruelty free cosmetics, but they also promise that their suppliers (of ingredients) are cruelty free too.
Brenda Botha, the owner of MUD South Africa took us through the history of the Company and what MUD does while one of the trained MUD make up artists demonstrated how to apply the cosmetics. We also got to see and touch the products ourselves and I must admit, the colour pay off is friggin awesome.
Each of us got sent home with a MUD lip gloss – which I’ll review soon.
